The colorful clouds surrounding the star system Rho Ophiuchi compose one of the closest star forming regions. Rho Ophiuchi itself is a binary star system visible in the blue reflection nebula to the top of the image center.
This is but a small section of Rho Ophuichi cloud systems showing regions designated IC 4603 & IC 4604 as per the annotated image below.
This area was only available to me for several hours on each night. Being so far south, it does not get too high in the sky - 28.5° max. This presents other problems for the imager - so extremely happy to have this one, and quite happy with the detail.
