In 2013 I really got started with the photography but it was very late in the year before I even had any guiding up and running for the scope. It was truly a steep learning curve and although by the end of the year I was 'proud as punch' with what I was achieving it most certainly was not anything that was turning any heads. Still, we all start somewhere and I can only hope that those starting out and reading this will take heart and not give up. Photos below are not shown in any form of high resolution (they are just too bad for that).

One must remember that even at this stage a lot of money went into getting the gear (camera, scope (and later the guide scope), mount and even the software. I was not about to give up. I am happy today that I didn't and even though I am still learning,  I am getting so much out of the above pictured scope  that I bought second hand in December 2012 - and received in January 2013.

Some of the below are even slightly better than I produced at the time, as I went back and reworked the data sometime in 2014. Click on any thumbnail if you really must see them a little larger than this. 

I put these here now to give encouragement to those starting out. Even during that first year, one can see a creeping improvement. Stick with it, it will be worth it!
